Born in Pompeii (Naples), she began her dance studies very young at the age of 5 . Winner of numerous competitions (XIII Dance Festival ” Rita Gigante” , Baridanza, Grand Prix Festival Dance, Giuliana Penzi Award, Labat Loano Danza festival, Dance for a dream, Talents on Stage 2011 and 2012, Dance Two Thousands , Dance Challenge 2012 etc.). In August 2009, in the competition “Labat Loano Danza 2nd edition Giuliana Penzi award” Pompea Santoro (Mats Ek’s Assistant) gives her the “The Talent” award.

Thanks also to the many scholarships, she deepens the study of contemporary dance technique with national (Fabrizio Monteverde, Mauro Bigonzetti, Pompea Santoro , Gino Labate , Michele Pogliani, Eugenio Buratti, etc.. ) and international choreographers (Fernando Suels, Samuel Wuersten, Stephan Brinkmann, Bradley Shelver, Antien Van Merlo, Naomi Perlov, Sanja Hasagic, Louise Frank, Aaron Watkin, Ryoko Kudo, Shelver Bradley, Susan Sentler , Sagi Gross, Maurice Causey, Amos Ben Tal, Jasper Van Luijk and many others).



In 2010 she was admitted to the course “FormAzione Tersicore” in Puglia under the Artistic Direction of Mauro de Candia (Director of the dance company of the theater Osnabrück, Germany), she has the opportunity to perfect and deepen her contemporary dance studies with international choreographers such as, Raphaële Giovanola, Christophe Garcia, Patrick Delcroix, Sagí Gros, Sara Lourenço, Maurice Causey, Thomas Noone and others.

In March 2011 at the international dance competition “Talents on Stage”, where for the 2nd year in a row she ranked 1st in the junior solo contemporary dance section, she won a scholarship in the company “Evolution dance theater” directed by Anthony Heinl; one year later she received a job offer from the same company.

In April 2013, in her third year of studies at “FormAzione Tersicore”, thanks to her participation in the European meeting Bodies on Show, she was admitted to “ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de kunsten” in the Netherlands, and in the academic year 2016/2017 she received her Bachelor of Dance degree.



During her stay in the Netherlands she worked in different companies at: DeStilte dans voor kinderen, Introdans, Krisztina De Châtel, Nationale Opera Amsterdam, Ann Van Den Broek “dEUS” project and Collective Prime.



She was a teacher in Contemporary Dance Technique from February to June 2021 at the Liceo Artistico e Coreutico “Ciardo Pellegrino” in Lecce and later, from September to October 2021 she was a teacher at the Liceo Coreutico Statale ” Epifanio Ferdinando” in Mesagne. In September 2022 she was admitted at “Skopje Dance Academy, UGD Skopje” by Risima Risimkin (Artistic Director of Skopje Dance Company) to pursue a “Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance Education.”



In February 2023 Gilda founded her EUTHOPIA DANCE COMPANY thus beginning her journey as Artistic Director.
